Splitting
They asked for page four and the annex
Sending the whole forty-page file instead is how a simple request turns into a second request.
Split the documentOnly the requested pages remain
Two different operations hide behind one word. Cutting turns one file into several parts. Extracting copies the chosen pages into a new file and leaves the original untouched — that is the one for answering a request.
Keep the reference intact
If the correspondence says “page 4”, the extracted file starts at page one and the reference stops matching. Either say which original pages these were in the covering message, or re-number the extract to match.
When to cut instead
When the file genuinely holds separate documents: three invoices in one scan, a contract with its annexes, minutes followed by an addendum. Each part then lives on its own.
Deleting is the third option
Keep the document and remove what should not have been there: a blank page from the scanner, an internal note, a duplicate scan of the same sheet.
How it works
- Merges, splits, rotates and reorders pages, and deletes or extracts the ones you pick
- Runs the page tools entirely in your browser: those files are never uploaded
Splitting runs in the browser, so the document is not uploaded and there is no server-side copy to expire.
Before you start
- Let you download the result without a subscription — running the tool is open to everyone, the download is not
- Offer a free plan — there is an intro week, then the monthly or annual price
